American Idol introduced us to lots of talented female singers in its San Antonio audition episode, and you can count Cristabel Clack among them.

What makes her a bit different is her age and family situation.

She’s 29, in her last year of Idol eligibility. She’s also been married seven years and has three young children.

But she says her husband has always been supportive of her music, and he’s clearly supportive of her decision to audition for Idol.

As for music, Cristabel is a worship leader, and the church in her voice comes out even when she’s singing something like Alicia Key’s “If I Ain’t Got You.”

She clearly impressed the judges, sailing through to Hollywood by a unanimous vote.

Keith Urban and Nicki Minaj both complimented Cristabel on the little flourishes she added to her rendition of the song.
