We didn’t get a chance to meet many of the talented singers who made it to Hollywood on American Idol.
So I’ve compiled a series of blogs about them, based on their Road to Hollywood videos and music they’ve posted.
For a complete look at the contestants we missed, head here.
Kree says she auditioned at the recommendation of her sister and was ecstatic that she followed her advice after landing a golden ticket. From Texas, but now living in Nashville, Kree doesn’t sound like a novice to the music business. In fact, in her Road to Hollywood video, she talked about landing and losing a record deal. “I’ve been through trials and tribulations in the industry,” she says. “I feel like I’ve worked my whole life and paid my dues in Nashville. And I will continue to do that.” She adds that she’s always loved performing and finds live performances — hers or someone else’s — inspiring. Her favorite former Idol contestant is Kelly Clarkson, who she says has “one of the prettiest voices I’ve ever heard.”

Kree….I was ironing clothes (here in Colmesneil, Texas) and I heard your name and was so excited and happy for you! I want you to know I think you’ve got this….and you can make it to the top! I will be listening for you and will say my prayers that you go all the way! You know, I love singing. This past year, I got the opportunity to play Patsy Cline in “Always, Patsy Cline” at the Woodville Community Theater. It was a blast! I’ll have my 55th birthday in March..(and I know that sounds old..but it’s just a number to me) and looking back, if I could have done what you are doing now…I would have put it on the top shelf, girl! Don’t hold back. This is your time to shine. Make us proud here in Tyler County. I wish you the very best!
