Cassadee Pope’s goal of going country got a big boost late last week.

Last week, the Season 3 winner of The Voice announced she’ll be touring with Rascal Flatts and The Band Perry.

“Incredibly excited to announce I will be supporting the Rascal Flatts tour this summer,” Cassadee tweeted. “I’ll be playing right before The Band Perry. Yay!”

She later added that she’ll be on the whole Rascal Flatts tour.

If that’s true, that includes a Sept. 28 date at Jiffy Lube Live in Washington, D.C.

Rascal Flatts will also be playing the First Niagara Pavillion in Pittsburgh on Sept. 6,

As for her debut album …

“I’ve got enough songs now for more than 2 albums!,” she wrote on Facebook last week. “Choosing which ones will be on my debut is difficult but it’s a great problem to have I say. 🙂 Really getting close here. Thanks for your patience! I know it’s important to get music out there as soon as possible but the quality of my songs will not be compromised for timing. You won’t be disappointed, I promise!”

Before a vote was ever cast on The Voice this year, I predicted Cassadee would not only win, but become the show’s first ever breakout artist. I think I’ll stand by that prediction.
