Voice Views picks for best moments from The Voice finale

0

So, that was some finale The Voice put on Tuesday night, right?

I mean they even allowed enough time for Craig Wayne Boyd to sing a victory song as the confetti fell. I’m not sure they’ve ever done that before.

Anyway, I’ve graded performances all season, why stop now?

OK, maybe not grades, but these were my picks for best segment from last night’s show.

Best coach spoof: Blake Shelton sings (?) “Can’t Touch This.”

Best finalist/guest star duet: Matt McAndrew with Fall Out Boy perform “Centuries” — and I loved that Patrick Stump was willing to share the spotlight with Matt and not make him play second fiddle.

Best guest star appearance: Jessie J. on “Masterpiece.” Bruno Mars almost got this honor, in spite of the gold hair rollers. Then Jessie J. took the stage and blew me away with this vocal. Chris’ falsetto helped, too. But Jessie …. my, my.

Best bring-back performance: Craig Wayne Boyd and friends on “Keep Your Hands to Yourself.” Craig Wayne said Sugar Joans, Taylor Brashears and DaNica Shirey had the sass to make this number special. Indeed, they did.

The crowning moment: I couldn’t not include that, right? Congrats to Craig Wayne Boyd, who’s about to become the most successful Voice winner yet.
