Carrie Underwood takes Video of Year honors at CMT Music Awards

Carrie Underwood took Video of the Year honors at the 2015 CMT Music Awards Wednesday night.

It was one of three honors Carrie won on the night while making her first appearance at an awards show since the birth of her son Isaiah on Feb. 27.

Carrie won Video of the Year honors and Female Video of the Year honors for “Something in the Water.”

Her “Something Bad” duet with Miranda Lambert won for Collaborative Video of the Year.

Carrie also got to perform “Little Toy Guns.” Other performers on Wednesday’s show included Idol judge Keith Urban and former Voice standout RaeLynn.

Not all the nominated singing show stars were as fortunate as Carrie in taking home honors, however.

For example …

* Keith Urban was nominated for Male Video of the Year for “Somewhere in My Car.” The award went to Luke Bryan for “Play it Again.”

* RaeLynn, formerly of The Voice, was nominated for Breakthrough Video of the Year for “God Made Girls.” The award went to Sam Hunt for “Leave the Night On.”

* The Swon Brothers — Colton and Zach — were nominated for Duo Video of the Year for “Later On.” The honor went to Florida Georgia Line for “Dirt.” Colton was apparently attending with fellow former Voice contestant Caroline Glaser.

* Keith Urban was nominated for CMT Performance of the Year for “It’s a Man’s, Man’s, Man’s World.” The honor went to Jason Aldean for his “Turn the Page” duet with Bob Seger. Jason made sure new wife and former Idol contestant Brittany Kerr Aldean got a shout-out during his acceptance.
