A year ago, Adam Wakefield was a veteran musician who had moved to Nashville to pursue music. And he had launched a successful Kickstarter campaign to release a debut album with his new bluegrass-folk-rootsy soul band, The Copperheads.
Then, at age 33, he auditioned for The Voice with George Jones’ “Tennessee Whiskey” and landed a spot on Team Blake.
Come Monday night, he’ll be competing for The Voice crown along with Alisan Porter, Laith Al-Saadi and Hannah Huston.
And based on recent iTunes results, he appears to have an excellent chance of becoming the fifth Team Blake member in 10 seasons to walk away with the title.
