The Season 3 American Idol champ has promised a rock-soul explosion with that album, and the new song — “Sleeping with the One I Love” — certainly fits that bill.
Writes Fantasia on her Facebook page: “When music speaks to your SOUL.. you can’t deny it. Thank you James Brown for the inspiration.”
The song, which checks in at just over five minutes, is available on iTunes, where you can also pre-order the album, which will be out July 29.
Previously released tracks include the lead single “No Time for It,” the country ballad “Ugly” that Fantasia performed on the Season 15 Idol finale and “So Blue.”
