Brendan Fletcher, who finished in the Top 8 for Team Adam Levine, released a ballad called “Boston” earlier this month.
His first solo release, the song climbed as high as number five on the iTunes singer-songwriter chart.
The song is named after the city where he attended college (he’s a 2012 graduate of Boston University) and was actually written during his time on The Voice, Brendan told Homegrown Radio NJ in an interview earlier this year.
The best news of all for Brendan fans: More new music is on the way. So are a couple of special performances.
As for the new music, Brendan plans to release an EP of originals later this year; “Boston” is just the lead single.
As for the special shows, Brendan says his biggest since The Voice will be a June 12 concert at the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown, N.J. The show will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and tickets go on sale Monday.
Naturally, you need to live somewhere nearby to attend, but that’s not the case for a two-hour concert Brendan will perform April 29 on the Live.Me app. All you need for that one is the app.
More information is available on Brendan’s Facebook page. You can also follow him on Twitter at @brendanjfletch.
Brendan, 26 when he auditioned for The Voice, previously released music with his brother Steve as “Another Brother Band.” Their 2015 EP, “Another Five Songs,” is still available on iTunes.
Here’s a live performance of “Boston.”
