The Voice brought lots of star power to its Season 12 finale.

Viewers apparently didn’t care.

The finale won the night in terms of ratings, drawing an estimated 9 million viewers.

But it was also the least-watched finale in the show’s history.

It scored a rating of 1.9 among adults 18 to 49 and a ratings share of 7 percent.

That was down a whopping 0.6 from the fall finale, which had a rating of 2.5 and down 0.3 from the show’s previous finale low, a 2.2 rating last spring.

Tuesday’s show featured guest appearances by former judges Usher and Cee Lo Green, plus artists as diverse as Chris Stapleton to Zedd to Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee.

Season 13 coaches Jennifer Hudson and Miley Cyrus also had prime performance spots.

What it didn’t feature were many members of the Season 12 cast. Just nine were invited back, the fewest ever.

And each of the four finalists — Chris Blue, Lauren Duski, Jesse Larson and Aliyah Moulden — performed just once.

Hmm. So, The Voice, how about we go back to a format that really seemed more like a celebration of the season just completed?
