And the video for the feel-good country song premiered Thursday on CMT.
In it, you get to meet Mimi, Karla’s adorable pet dog. A pet dog who “was born to be a star,” she writes on Facebook.
I’ve embedded a live version of the song from Nashville sessions and I’ll add the new video when it hits YouTube.
It had been a while since we’d gotten new music from Karla, who released a pre-show album called “Here I Am” in 2010 and an album called “360” the same year she appeared on The Voice.
She’s also featured on two singles released by country singer Charles Esten and they released a superb duet called “Finally Fine” earlier this year.
And, yes, that’s the same Charles Esten who plays Deacon on the TV series Nashville.
You can keep up with Karla through her Facebook page. On Twitter, she’s @karladavismusic.
