Now they have the highest charting song from the first night of those battles.
Their cover of the Elvis Presley version of “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry” was sitting at number 163 on the iTunes overall singles chart as of noon eastern time.
It was the only song from Monday’s show to crack the Top 200.
Blake declared former Nicki Minaj background singer Keisha the winner of the battle round match, putting 17-year-old Noah at risk of elimination.
But just as he was about to walk off The Voice stage, Jennifer Hudson pushed her big red button, stealing Noah for her team.
All six songs from Monday’s show landed in the Top 60 on a genre chart, including “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” by Adam Pearce and Whitney Fenimore.
In fact, that cover cracked the Top 20 on the rock chart. The original, by Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks, was sitting at number three.
The battle rounds were filmed before the death of Tom Petty, which explains why his passing wasn’t mentioned on the show.
Below is a look at where all the songs were sitting on the chart as of noon, which is when voting typically ends following a live show on The Voice.
As always, remember that you can’t compare rankings from one genre chart to another. The pop chart, for example, is tougher to scale than the R&B or rock chart. That explains why the Keisha-Noah song has a lower ranking on the pop chart, yet is the only song from Monday’s show to make the Top 200.
