But she couldn’t say with whom. That was top secret at the time.

The secret is out. Kellie and Chris Young will be opening for Rascal Flatts on the band’s upcoming “Nothing Like This Tour.”

So far, 26 dates have been announced, starting with a late June show in Raleigh, N.C., and concluding with a mid-September show in Boston.

In between, the tour will be stopping at the Hershey Park Arena (I imagine they mean the Star Pavilion) on Thursday, Aug. 12, at the Toyota Pavilion in Scranton the next night and at Jiffy Lube Live in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, Aug. 14.

For a complete list of concert dates, go here. More dates are coming, according to the Rascal Flatts’ Web site.
Kellie is fresh off touring with gal pal Taylor Swift. She’s also enjoying the success of a self-titled second album that has been in the top 40 on the country album chart for something like 80 weeks.

The album has yielded two top-20 country hits and a third single (“Don’t You Know You’re Beautiful”) that peaked at 21 on the country singles chart.

It won’t be Kellie’s first tour with Rascal Flatts. She was also part of the group’s “Still Feels Good” tour back in 2007.

Ticket information for the Hershey show isn’t available yet. I’ll keep you posted on that.
