We’ve been in a musical drought of un-Idol like proportions.

Sure, we’ve been treated to the weekly studio versions of the classics performed by the Season 10 contestants.

But if it’s new music from past Idol contestants you crave … well, 2011 has offered precious little.

Three months of the year are gone and we’ve had one CD release — a debut album from season four contestant Anwar Robinson.

Missed it? I’m not surprised.

But the drought ends tomorrow, folks. Here’s what we can look forward to in coming weeks.

* Jennifer Hudson releases her second album, “I Remember Me,” on Tuesday. The lead single has been rocketing up the R&B singles chart and debuted on the Hot 100 last week. This, of course, is the followup to Jennifer’s Grammy-winning debut CD.

* Adam Lambert delivers a CD/DVD combo called “Glam Nation Live.” It should be a treat, and will include four songs you won’t find on his debut album — “20th Century Boy,” “Down the Rabbit Hole,” Voodoo” and “Ring of Fire.”

* Anoop Desai is planning to release a free CD — Zero.0 — on Wednesday. Anoop has already released three tracks over the last three weeks — “OoWee,” “Want Your Love” and “Worth the Wait.” Come Wednesday, all 10 tracks are supposed to be available here. A high-fi version is supposed to be available on iTunes in April; and Anoop is asking for help covering the cost of his three-part Zero project here.

* Phil Stacey releases his third album, “Faith,” on March 29 exclusively via Conquest Entertainment. So if you want it, you’re going to have to go here. It’ll be the second Christian album from Phil, who debuted post-Idol with a country CD in 2008.

* Mandisa will release her third Christian album, “What If We Were Real,” on April 5. You can hear snippets of all the songs on Amazon.com now. The lead single, “Stronger,” has already climbed to number 15 on Billboard’s Christian singles chart.

* Kimberly Caldwell’s “Desperate Girls and Stupid Boys” single probably didn’t fare as well on the charts as she had hoped. But Kimberly’s oft-delayed debut album “Without Regrets” is apparently still on target for an April 19 release.  She was a contestant back in season two.

And, of course, that’s just the start.

Before year’s end, we should have new albums from Kelly Clarkson (September), David Cook (date tba) and, perhaps, a Glam Nation followup from Adam.
