The Voice, American Idol up for People’s Choice Awards

The Voice and current singing show winners Brynn Cartelli and Maddie Poppe will all be up for People’s Choice Awards Sunday night.

The People’s Choice Awards will air Sunday at 9 p.m. on E!

Nicki Minaj is scheduled to open the show, which will also feature performances by John Legend and Rita Ora.

Brynn and Maddie are both nominated in the Best Competition Contestant category, along with Cody Nickson of The Amazing Race, Eva Igo of World of Dance and Nikki Bella of Dancing With the Stars.

The Voice, meanwhile, is up for Best Competition Show of 2018. Other nominees include Ellen’s Game of Games, Big Brother, RuPaul’s Drag Race and America’s Got Talent.

Oh, yes, American Idol is nominated too as E! celebrates fan favorites in music, the movies and TV. The ABC singing competition is up for honors as the Best Revival Show of 2018, competing against One Day at a Time, Queer Eye, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation and Dynasty.

Country Artist of 2018: Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan.

Latin Artist of 2018: Shakira, Becky G, CNCO, J Balvin, Bad Bunny

Music Video of 2018: Camila Cabello, “Never Be the Same”; Selena Gomez, “Back to You”; Ariana Grande, “No Tears Left to Cry”; Childish Gambino, “This Is America”; BTS, “Idol”
