American Idol’s Top 20 performed solos on last Monday’s show, providing us a night of great music.
This Sunday and Monday, the Top 20 will be paired up with celebrity duet partners, with 10 duets featured on the show each night.
Ah, but unlike Monday, there will also be eliminations each night, with three of the 10 contestants heading home at the end of the show.
Here are the night-by-night pairings provided by Idol. As you can see below, artists have already started promoting their duets on social media.

To paraphrase you, why are there celebrity guest duets during “Idol’s” top 20 round?
That’s the contestants’ chance to qualify for the top 14, not to be overshadowed and possibly undermined by publicity seeking professionals.
It’s also a way that the judges/producers can stack the deck for the semifinalists they want, not who are the most deserving.
