EW.com has the scoop on who will face who in the knockout rounds on The Voice.
And since they have photos to back up their pairings, it’s a pretty certain bet they’re correct.
That being the case, let’s take a look at those pairings and some predictions.
Remember, the contestants generally have more of a say in what they sing in this round.
And, for the first time, each coach will have one save during the knockout round.
In years past, the loser in this round automatically headed home.
Check back Monday and Tuesday of course, for live blogging of those knockout rounds.
Team Adam
James Wolpert vs. Juhi
Ashley Dubose vs. Tessanne Chin
Lina Gaudenzi vs. Preston Pohl
Grey vs. James Irwin
Assessment: So loaded with talent, I won’t be surprised if at least two of the four steals are used on this group. James Wolpert, Ashley Dubose, Tessanne Chin and James Irwin all turned four chairs in the blinds, and Preston Pohl has been one of the most impressive guys on the show through two rounds. Look for James and Preston to advance. Grey, the former wedding singer, might be capable of upsetting James. Ashley vs. Tessanne? Well, having listened to her original music, I think single mom Ashley might be the best of the best on Team Adam.
Team Blake
Briana Cuoco vs. Shelbie Z.
E.G. Daily vs. Ray Boudreaux
Holly Henry vs. Nic Hawk
Austin Jenckes vs. Brandon Chase
Assessment: Who’s the singer to beat on Team Blake? That question might be easier to answer if producers hadn’t STUPIDLY left Holly Henry’s battle round match on the cutting room floor. She turned four chairs in the blind with a haunting performance, moved lots of downloads on iTunes, but is also one of the least experienced performers. In the battle round, she’ll be pitted against one of the most outgoing, Nic Hawk. As for the other battles, Shelbie Z., Ray Boudreaux and Austin Jenckes were so impressive in the battles, it’s hard to imagine them losing.
Team ChristinaAnthony Paul vs. Jacquie Lee
Matthew Schuler vs. Will Champlin
Destinee Quinn vs. Olivia Henken
Amber Nicole vs. Josh Logan
Asssessment: Four-chair turn recipient Matthew Schuler is a favorite to make the voting rounds, but draws a tough pairing in veteran performer Will Champlin (stolen from Team Adam). Christina had the perfect description for pretty young Jacquie Lee — a tiger in a kitten’s body. Josh Logan might need to work on his stage presence, but figures to advance. The battle between country singers Olivia Henken and Destinee Quinn looks like a toss-up, though Olivia was darn impressive in the battle round.
Team Cee Lo
Caroline Pennell vs. George Horga Jr.
Kat Robichaud vs. Monika Leigh
Cole Vosbury vs. Jonny Gray
Stephanie Anne Johnson vs. Tamara Chauniece
Assessment: Kat Robichaud must make the voting rounds; she’s that good, both as a singer and performer. Caroline Pennell looks like Season 5’s Melanie Martinez (for those who remember Season 3). Jonny Gray has been impressive both times he’s performed. Stephanie Anne Johnson might be the surprise — and the stolen contestant most likely to make an impact from any team. Her battle round loss wasn’t indicative of her talent because she was forced so far from her comfort zone by the song choice.
