Abi Carter, the new American Idol, released her first single since the show on Friday.

Abi Carter, the Season 22 American Idol, released her first song since the show on Friday.

“Peppermint Sky” has more than 19,000 streams on Spotify so far.

Abi teased fans on social media on release day with a brilliant stripped down version of the song. Check it out below.

Abi wrote the song with Michael Edwards and Holden Miller and says she had “full creative control” over the release.

It’s her third single so far.

“This Isn’t Over,” released in conjunction with making the Top 5 on Idol, has more than 400,000 streams on Spotify.

“It’s All Love,” released during her run on the show, has more than 350,000.

Abi performed her first headline show since winning Idol on Saturday at her hometown Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, Calif.

About 8,500 tickets were sold for the 11,000 seat venue, according to News 3’s coverage of the event.

“We got here and the place was packed and I’m just shocked by the love that this Valley continues to give me and the support,” Abi told the site.

The Desert Sun also covered the event, during which Abi performed a number of unreleased originals.

And how did she open her first big headline show?

With “Peppermint Sky,” of course.
