The setting: Las Vegas, where not everything is games, fame and fortune.
Adam told iHeart Radio, which premiered the video Friday, that it explores the emotions that Vegas entertainers feel before, during and after creating good times in Sin City.
“When the lights turn off and the costumes get put away, many struggle with the feeling of loneliness. I wanted to paint a picture that wasn’t necessarily happy or sad, but showed the entire range in between,” Adam said.
The single is his second from his third studio album, “Original High.” That album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 and just dropped off the chart after 15 weeks.
“Ghost Town,” the lead single, is at number 91 on the Billboard Hot 100 after peaking at number 64. It’s been on that chart for 16 weeks and climbed as high as number 17 on Billboard’s Adult Top 40.
Adam has scheduled eight U.S. tour dates for later this year, followed by stops in Japan, New Zealand and Australia.
Melanie Martinez, the former standout on The Voice, just announced that she’ll be opening for Adam at the show in New Zealand and the five scheduled in Australia.
