If you’re waiting for Adam Lambert to apologize for that racy performance on the American Music Awards Sunday night … well, it isn’t going to happen.

Booted from a scheduled appearance on ABC’s Good Morning America because of Sunday’s antics, Adam instead found himself performing on “The Early Show” on CBS this morning. (See photos below)
He was offered a chance to apologize. He declined.

“I admit I did get carried away, but I don’t see anything wrong with it,” he said.

He also said he thinks part of the outrage stems from the fact that he’s an openly gay male, doesn’t think there would be nearly the outrage if it was a female pop performer doing the same thing and noted that other “adult” moments on the show didn’t seem to cause concern.
Here’s a link to an AP story about this morning’s appearance on “The Early Show,” where Adam sang “What Do You Want From Me” and “Music Again” in a performance he promised beforehand would be “appropriate.”

Sure will be interesting to see how this all works out for Adam.

No doubt about it, he succeeded in getting people talking about him on the same week his debut album was released.
Problem is, no one’s talking about his music.

They’re talking about that AMA performance, one I doubt won over many new fans.

As of 11 a.m., Adam’s debut album was fifth on iTunes most downloaded chart, still trailing Lady Gaga, Rhianna and Susan Boyle.
