You know those antics that got Adam Lambert into a bit of hot water during a show-closing American Music Awards performance last year?

You’re not likely to see them on his upcoming Glam Nation tour, which kicks off Friday at the F.M. Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

During a Wednesday conference call, Adam was asked point blank whether fans
shocked by that performance should just stay home rather than purchasing tickets to one of his upcoming shows.

“I definitely think they’ll be comfortable,” he said. “That was kind of an artistic experiment, the AMAs, and I learned a lot from it.

“I learned, kind of, what my limitations are. I learned what my audience wants to see.

“The (upcoming) concert definitely is sexy. But I feel like, if anyone thought that (the AMA performance) was not tasteful, this is tasteful.”

Of course, getting a ticket to the show if you don’t already have one will be the real feat.

About 50 shows are planned, with Orianthi and former Idol colleague Allison Iraheta as opening acts.

The Friday show in Wilkes-Barre has been sold out for weeks. Also sold out are upcoming shows in Baltimore and Washington, D.C., both in late July.

“Honestly, we expected tickets to sell quickly, but not quite as quickly as they did,” said Will Beekman, director of marketing and sales for the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts.

Allison Iraheta's new single, 'Don't Waste the Pretty'Meanwhile, there’s more news for Allison fans, too. As I reported last week, her new single, “Don’t Waste the Pretty.” will feature a guitar and vocal contribution from Orianthi.

Well, 19 Entertainment just announced that the single has been released to radio and will be available on iTunes next Tuesday, June 8.

Check back tomorrow for full interviews with Adam and Allison.
