Aiden Ross was the very first contestant fans met on Season 28 of The Voice.

And when Carson Daly announced results on the show’s season finale Tuesday night, he was the last singer standing.

The talented young man from College Station, Texas, was named winner of The Voice, with Ralph Edwards finishing as runner-up.

Rounding out the Top 6 were DEK of Hearts in third place, followed by Aubrey Nicole, Max Chambers and Jazz McKenzie.

Aiden’s win also means Niall Horan has been victorious in all three of his seasons as Voice coach.

He previously coached Gina Miles and Huntley to victory.

And Niall predicted big things for Aiden after he turned four chairs with his blind audition performance of Adele’s “Love in the Dark,” saying he had the potential to make the finale.

Aiden, 20 at the time of his audition, is a graduate of Dade County High School in Georgia and a sophomore at Texas A&M, where’s he’s studying industrial engineering.

During his blind audition bio segment, he said he grew up singing on his family’s farm, which featurees alpacas, llamas and where visitors come to pick their own strawberries.

He released his first single, “Everything and More,” just before his audition aired. And experienced a degree of disbelief in his Voice success in a recent message to fans.

“To think that two years ago today I was a senior in high school who knew what I wanted to do with my life, but was too scared to do it.

“This show has been, since the first call I got, just the light at the end of this tunnel of this music journey.”

Aiden also said he feels like he’s grown as an artist and a person as a result of The Voice.

“I’m still signed up for classes at Texas A&M to continue my engineering degree this spring, while staying open to the path God is revealing,” he wrote on Facebook just before The Voice finale.

“I’m doing everything I can to be ready and I’m trusting that God’s plan is bigger than anything I can see right now.”
