Fans hoping for a look back at the first 14 years of American Idol will get their wish.

The show announced its complete Season 15 schedule after the premiere aired Wednesday night.

And it includes a one-hour “retrospective episode, featuring (Ryan) Seacrest, current and former judges, contestants and the behind-the-scenes team sharing their IDOL memories.”

That will air on Tuesday, April 5, kicking off a finale week that will include a one-hour showdown between the finalists the following night and a two-hour series finale on Thursday, April 7.

Note that Idol normally runs until at least mid-May.

Noteworthy schedule changes this year:

* Idol will have a Top 10 in Season 15. The show has typically taken at least 12 singers into the finals.

* Once the finals beginning, the show will cut back to one night per week, airing for two hours each Thursday beginning March 3.

* Former contestants will also return as mentors for three weeks in February. The 24 semifinalists will be revealed Feb. 4. For the next three weeks, that group will be whittled down until the Top 10 is announced on Thursday, Feb. 25.
