Anita Antoinette advances for Team Gwen on The Voice

1

One of the final Team Gwen battle rounds on The Voice pitted Anita Antoinette against Mayra Alvarez.

Anita, 24, of Boston, Mass., auditioned with Bob Marley’s “Turn Your Lights Down Low.” She turned four chairs and wound up being the only four-chair turn member of Team Gwen.

We met Mayra Alvarez, 26, of La Porte, Texas, just two weeks ago when she auditioned with Michael Jackson’s “Human Nature” and turned two chairs.

They sang Johnny Nash’s “I Can See Clearly Now” in a battle we didn’t get to see on the show.

Gwen advanced Anita to the knockout round; Mayra was eliminated from the competition.

Anita is such a talented musician. She seems very genuine, humble and sincere. She is a breath of fresh air to the music industry. I will be buying her album for certain, no doubt! She has my vote all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #TeamAnita @anitantoinette
