Josh Gracin has a new single and is planning an EP
Now that The Voice has ended for Season 4, I can catch up with news about former American Idol contestants. Let’s start with Josh Gracin, who finished fourth way back on Season 2 of Idol.

For a ninth-place finisher on American Idol, you could say Mandisa has carved out a nice career for herself in Christian music. So nice that her latest single is soaring up the Christian charts, even though it won’t be released for another two weeks.
For all her chart success, Kelly Clarkson needed 10 years in the music business to find her way to the top of the Billboard dance/club play chart. Now she’s done it three times in a little more than a year.
DeAndre Brackensick released his first post-Idol single earlier this month. Over the weekend, he released the video for “Her Crazy.”
Danielle Bradbery became the youngest winner in The Voice’s four seasons Tuesday night. She topped Michelle Chamuel and The Swon Brothers for the show’s title, the cash prize and the recording contract that go with it. In the process, she gave Blake Shelton his third consecutive Voice title.
Two hours from now, The Voice will have a Season 4 champion. And my guess is that champion will be 16-year-old country singer Danielle Bradbery. Danielle should have headed into last night’s show with an edge based on iTunes downloads of past performances.
So, you’re trying to predict the outcome of The Voice based solely on how Monday’s performances did on iTunes? Good luck. When voting closed at 10 a.m., six songs from Monday’s show had cracked the iTunes Top 10 download chart, and that includes a pair from each artist.
Each of the final three performed three times on The Voice Season 4 finale Monday night. Included in those three performances was a duet with their coaches. Here are photos from the show.
And, judging from the early voting, it looks like Danielle Bradbery has scored another hit with fans of The Voice. Two hours into voting following the Season 4 performance finale, her new solo song was performing better than those of Michelle Chamuel and The Swon Brothers on the iTunes singles chart.
Usually by the time this episode of a singing show rolls around, I have a strong opinion about who should win. Candice Glover on Season 12 of American Idol. Cassadee Pope on Season 3 of The Voice. Juliet Simms on Season 2 of The Voice. And I’m not a big believer in the final performance…

'Treasure' indeed
Laci Kaye Booth, Top 5 on American Idol Season 17, dropped her debut album Aug. 6. Her debut single, the ridiculously addictive "Treasure," heads to country radio in mid-September.
