The way I figure it, the American Idol ladies should be enjoying a pretty stress free week. As I’ve noted repeatedly, the Idol judges still have their save tucked away as we head into Top 6 week.
Co-host Luke Bryan was named Entertainer of the Year and Miranda Lambert snagged three honors at the ACM Awards Sunday night. Bryan hosted the show with Voice judge Blake Shelton and beat out Blake, Miranda, Taylor Swift and Jason Alden for the night’s top honor, calling it “the defining moment of my life.”

Amerrican Idol made history tonight. When Burnell Taylor was eliminated, it marked the first time the finals have started with the ouster of four straight guys.
So tonight, we get to see if the guys on American Idol can set a show record for ineptitude. Never in the show’s first 11 years have four straight guys been booted at the start of the Idol finals.
American Idol’s Top 7 took on classic rock Wednesday night. Each of the remaining contestants took the stage alone, and Idol also broke them into two duos and a threesome for group numbers.
