4 Idols on Billboard’s 2012 Top Artists list
Billboard has released its year-end charts, and they’re littered with former Idols. Four Idol champs finished in the top 100 on Billboard’s Top Artists of 2012 chart, and they’re all former winners.

Remember the Magnificent Screamer from American Idol Season 9? Siobhan Magnus, who placed sixth in Season 9, is embarking on a new endeavor.
As I catch up on Idol news I missed while writing about The Voice and The X Factor … here’s a match I never thought we’d see. Bo Bice is heading to Broadway.
Tate Stevens took the Season 2 X Factor crown Thursday night during a two-hour finale that featured performances by Pitbull and One Direction. Fifth Harmony wound up third in the voting; Carly Rose Sonenclar was the runner-up. Here’s a photo gallery from the show. For photos of Tate Stevens’ winning night, head here.
For weeks, I had read comments from viewers of The Voice saying Cassadee Pope’s victory was bound to happen. They were looking at her number of Facebook and Twitter followers, comparing them to the other contestants and figuring there was no way she could lose given the wide disparity.
Months ago, a 37-year-old road worker from Raymore, Missouri, stepped onto an X Factor audition stage wearing a cowboy hat and pronounced that he sings rap. He was joking of course.
Devoid of the goofballs known as Emblem 3, devoid of the vocally challenged like Cece Frey and the atrociously inconsistent like Paige Thomas and Diamond White, The X Factor delivered a pretty good night of singing on Wednesday. Fifth Harmony sounded like they could be relevant on the pop charts today. Carly Rose Sonenclar sounded…
The Voice put on a very nice Season 3 finale. The finalists and other Season 3 contestants were involved in nearly every musical performance. My biggest complaint: The biggest news of the night came so late in the show, we barely had time to watch Cassadee Pope react to her victory.
The final three on The X Factor take the stage tonight. And their performances will include at least one duet. Carly Rose Sonenclar will perform with LeAnn Rimes. Tate Stevens will take the stage with Little Big Town. And Fifth Harmony will perform with none other than X Factor judge Demi Lovato.
Cassadee Pope’s reaction to winning The Voice? Here’s what she wrote on Facebook: “Holy moly cannoli!!!! I won!!!!!!!! Thank you all SO much. I’m absolutely in awe and so thankful for this incredible experience.”
