Underwood got shut out, but Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani got to perform their hit duet again at the Billboard Music Awards Sunday night.

Carrie was nominated for awards in two categories — top country artist and top country album for “Storyteller.”

The former award went to Luke Bryan; the latter to Chris Stapleton for his highly acclaimed album, “Traveller.”

The only other singing show nominee was the Adam Levine-led Maroon 5 in the Top Duo/Group category; the win went to One Direction.

Meanwhile, Adele took the award for Artist of the Year over Justin Bieber, Drake, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd.

She also won the award for Top Female Artist, the Billboard 200 Album of the Year (“25”). Bieber won best male artist. Hot 100 song of the year honors went to Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth for “See You Again.”

Performers also included 5th Harmony, the girl group created on Simon Cowell’s short-lived U.S. version of The X Factor.

Meanwhile, Gwen and Blake performed “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” from Blake’s new “If I’m Honest” album.

After Sunday’s show, the song was number 26 on the iTunes Top 200 singles chart and number three on the country singles chart. One of the songs ahead of it: Blake’s “Came Here to Forget.”
