He and Jaron Strom sang “Head Over Boots” by Jon Pardi. When the match ended, coach Blake Shelton declared Jaron the winner.
But it might not be long before we hear from Bransen again, in the form of new music.
Bransen, 27 when he auditioned for the show, previously released a single in 2011 and an EP called “Hat” in 2012.
Here’s what Bransen told Voice Views about his time on the show.
Voice Views: I know the battles were filmed a while back. What have you been doing musically since then?
Bransen: Since the battles I have been writing in Nashville which is a weekly thing for me over the last five years. I have also continued to play locally here in Nashville in various clubs and writers rounds.
Voice Views: Where do you see your time on the show leading you musically? Do you envision releasing more music anytime soon and, if so, what can you tell me about that?
Bransen: I do plan on releasing a single and EP later this spring. I have a great producer and I’m very excited about the songs I currently have and look forward to getting them out to people>
Voice Views: Do you think you grew as an artist as a result of The Voice experience? If so, in what way?
Bransen: Any experience like The Voice is great stage experience. I had a strong grasp on who I am as an artist going in to the show and felt I was able to really show that during my time.
Voice Views: Other than the new friends you made, what do you think you’ll remember most about the experience?
Bransen: I’d say my most memorable time on the show was spent with the vocal coach Trelawny; she is such an incredible vocal coach and person.
