A new album from former The Voice finalist Red Marlow is due out next month.

A new album from former The Voice finalist Red Marlow is due out Friday.

During Season 13 of The Voice, fans embraced Red Marlow’s heartfelt performances and traditional approach to country music.

In fact, they helped propel him to The Voice finale and an eventual fourth-place finish.

Now Red is about to release his first post-show album.

And, judging from its title — “Country as Cornbread” — Red will be serving up more of that traditional sounding country music.

I’ve listened to an advance copy of the album. Folks, if you liked what Red did on The Voice, you’re going to love this album.

Pre-orders for the 10-song album began Thursday (March 22) on iTunes. And Red has also released the first song from the album, ‘My House in Heaven.” The full album is expected April 6.

You can listen to a performance of that song below.

Red was 40 when he auditioned for The Voice and had already released three country EPs that are still available.

Four times during his run on the show he cracked the Top 10 on the iTunes overall singles chart. An original he wrote called “I Pray” hit number three on that chart and number one on the iTunes country singles chart.
