Recent post-Voice releases include singles from former champ Brynn Cartelli, Grant Ganzer and a series of covers from Katherine Ho.

Here’s a bit more about each of those releases. The links take you to the songs on Apple Music.

Brynn Cartelli from The Voice Season 14

Brynn Cartelli from The Voice Season 14

* Brynn Cartelli, the Season 14 champ, is back with a new single, a year after she released her debut EP. The song is called “Gemini,” which she wrote with Henrik Michelsen and Sophia Brenan. “The song started off as a joke,” Brynn says in a press released. “I thought it would be funny to play into the dual-natured stereotype (of the astrological sign) in a song; then I went to London and finished it. I wanted to lean into inspirations of women that inspired me since I was young, like Stevie Nicks and Florence Welch, but in my own pop sphere. I am so excited about how different ‘Gemini’ is than any of the songs on my first project (the aforementioned EP, ‘Based on a True Story’).” There’s also a music video for “Gemini,” and Brynn directed it. “Before I ever pursued music, I dreamed of being a director so this video is a big moment for lil me,” Brynn writes on social media. Brynn plans to celebrate the released during a June 11 show at the Rockland Music Hall in New York.

Grant Ganzer from The Voice Season 7

* Grant Ganzer from Season 7 released a single called “Shirley Temple” earlier this month. He thanks friend Trey Schafer for his “world-class” production. Writes Grant: “This song is for anyone out there who has struggled with the circumstances of their past. Its a dose of tough love, but with an outstretched hand. Saying that I’ve been where you’ve been, I’ve felt what you’re feeling, and I’m here.” There’s also a music video, which you can check out below.

Katherine Ho from The Voice Season 10

* Katherine Ho from Season 10 says she’s been “working on some fun Mandarin language” covers of popular songs, and she’s releasing them to streaming sites this month. So far, they include “Lovestory,” “I Knew You Were Trouble,” “Back to December,” “Peaches” and Ed Sheeran’s “Shivers,” which you can check out below. The Voice shamefully montaged all three of Katherine Ho’s performances back in Season 10, but she’s doing fine. Her Mandarin cover of Coldplay’s “Yellow” appeared in the film “Crazy Rich Asians” and has been streamed more than 16 million times on Spotify alone.
