It’s been a record-setting sort of week for Carrie Underwood.

If you haven’t heard, her new album “Cry Pretty” landed at the top of Billboard’s country albums chart and Billboard 200 when the new versions of those charts were released Tuesday.

That means Carrie has released seven albums since winning Season 4 of American Idol. All seven of those albums have debuted at number one on the Billboard country albums chart. Four have debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.

“Cry Pretty” sold the equivalent of 266,000 albums in week one, including 251,000 albums, an impressive figure in these days of declining album sales.

As for the records Carrie set thanks to “Cry Pretty’s” success … Billboard reports:

* She becomes the first woman to top the Billboard 200 with four country albums. (It should be noted that Taylor Swift has five number ones, but two of those were pop albums).

* She becomes the first to open her career with seven consecutive number one country albums, breaking a tie with Miranda Lambert.

* The first week sales figure is the most for a country album since Luke Bryan released “Kill the Lights” in August of 2015.

* The first week sales figure is the most for a country album from a female artist since Taylor released “Red” more than five years ago, in January 2013.

Carrie co-produced “Cry Pretty” with David Garcia, marking the first time she’s received co-production credit for one of her albums.

She also co-wrote nine of the 12 tracks, the most on any of her albums to date.

Tickets are also on sale now for the “Cry Pretty” tour, which kicks off next May and includes stops in D.C., Philly, Pittsburgh and Hershey, Pa.
