Want to hear Carrie Underwood talk about the making of her new album?

Wal-Mart’s Soundcheck Web site features a new video of Carrie doing just that. It also features new performances of “Cowboy Casanova,” “So Small,” “All-American Girl,” “Jesus Take the Wheel” and “Before He Cheats.”

In the interview section, Carrie calls her new album, “Play On,” her most versatile yet.

“I got to spend a lot more time on it. I got to do a lot more writing on it … A lot of really wonderful stuff came out of the whole process,” she says.

That title track, she explains, is about perseverance. And she says she’s trying not to succumb to the pressure of trying to match the success of her first two albums with CD number three.

Meanwhile, Billboard has posted a snippet of the next single that will be available for download via iTunes. The song is called “Temporary Home,” and you can listen to the snippet here.

If you missed my earlier blog on the topic, iTunes is releasing a Carrie song every week up until the Nov. 3 release of “Play On.”

“Cowboy Casanova” and “Mama’s Song” are already available. This Tuesday, “Temporary Home” will be available. Next Tuesday, the release will be “Undo It,” according to Billboard.

The cost of downloading the singles will go toward the cost of the album should you decide to purchase it.

Here’s the link to the Soundcheck featuring Carrie. It’s certainly worth watching.
