About 4.41 million copies of “21” sold in 2012. Taylor Swift’s “Red” — 3.11 million — was the only other album to top the 2-million sales mark.

Falling between Taylor and Carrie were One Direction’s “Up All Night,” Mumford and Sons “Babel” and Justin Bieber’s “Believe.”
