Casey Abrams, Idols on the Music Chart

Casey Abrams lands on the Billboard 200

Casey Abrams’ self-titled debut album landed on the Billboard 200 this week.

But not very high — at 101 to be precise, indicating sales of about 4,000.

Come on, music lovers. The album deserves better than that.

It’s received solid reviews. OK, it includes a couple of missteps (“Wore Out My Soul” quickly wears out its welcome) but, for the most part, it’s a fun listen.

And certainly on par with the new album from Casey’s Idol pal Haley Reinhart and Season 9 winner Kris Allen.

Their new albums debuted at number 16 and number 26, respectively.

If you haven’t heard Casey’s new music yet, head to his website where you can hear all the songs for free, including his catchy first single, “Get Out.”

Here’s Casey doing an acoustic version of one of the better songs from the album, “Stuck in London,” dubbed The Mango Song.
