New post-Voice music out includes singles from Jupiter Winter, Elenowen and Mendeleyev.
Here’s a bit about each of those releases.
The links take you to the songs on Apple Music.
* Jupiter Winter, the duo of Royce Whittaker and Lelia Broussard from Season 3, released the single “Seen” on Friday. Writes Lelia: “‘Seen’ is a letter to a younger self. To the parts of yourself searching for something more, to the self destructive habits and the pain of not yet feeling comfortable in your skin. You have to see yourself the way you want to be seen before anyone can recognize it in you.” She also says it’s the first song “in a body of work we’ve been working on for a long time, and it feels really amazing to finally be able to start sharing it.” Jupiter Winter is also heading out on tour, opening for The Midnight.
* Elenowen, the husband and wife team of Josh and Nicole Johnson from Season 1, is back with a song called “Peace and Quiet.” Josh says the song “was written on a rainy day back in 2018 when anxiety ruled my mind to the point of consistently losing sleep to the voices in my head. Having a loving partner in Nicole to just talk to me and be with me in these times was such a gift. Thankful to my co-writer Lloyd Rives for the safety to be real and express all of this, which led us to write what I feel is a beautiful, honest song.” Elenowen will be releasing a full-length album, “Say I Don’t Scare You” on Nov. 5.
* Mendeleyev from Season 17 has a new single out called “How to Say Goodbye.” He released his post-show debut album, “Next Level,” earlier this year and followed up with the contemporary folk single “Only Love Will Show” in July.
