It’s for an original song called “Elevator” off an upcoming album called “Breakfast.”
And it’s refreshingly different. What else would you expect from a 17-year-old who had released two full albums before appearing on the show?
“Elevator” was filmed back in June, in part at the The Old Town Hall in Vermillion, Ohio.
Friday night, Emily held a video release party at the same venue, performing to a sold out crowd.
If you like “Elevator,” it’s available in cassette form from Emily’s website.
And if you’d like to sing along, the lyrics and the song are posted on her Bandcamp page as well.
Emily, from Wakeman, Ohio, turned four chairs with her Season 10 blind audition when she covered “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.”
She advanced all the way to the Top 12 before being eliminated.
Her pre-show albums include “Book of New Beginnings” from 2013 and the superb “East of the Sun” with the Womacks from 2015.
In addition to her website, you can follow Emily through her Facebook page. On Twitter, she’s simply @EmilyKeener.
