Danielle Bradbery hits #2 on Billboard country chart

Season 4 Voice winner Danielle Bradbery can celebrate an impressive post-show start on the music charts this week.

Danielle released her first post-Voice single — “Heart of Dixie” — last week.

The song immediately zipped into the top 10 on the iTunes download chart.

And when the Billboard charts were released this morning, “Heart of Dixie” was sitting at number two on the country digital songs chart, behind only “Cruise” by Florida Georgia Line.

The song landed on at least three other charts, hitting number 14 on the overall digital downloads chart, number 16 on the hot country songs charts and number 58 on Billboard’s Hot 100.

I hadn’t seen actual sales numbers for Danielle’s song yet, but the chart performance pretty much matches what Cassadee Pope accomplished when she released “Wasting All These Tears” this spring. That marked her first country single since winning Season 3 on The Voice.

“Wasting” also landed at number two on the country digital chart behind — you guessed it — “Cruise.” Cassadee’s debut landed at number 10 on the digital download chart and number 37 on the Billboard 100.

Speaking of Cassadee and Danielle, they joined former Idol contestant Kellie Pickler at a “Girls and Guitars” fundraiser Wednesday in Charlotte, N.C.

The event raised money for the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, which plans to build a recording studio in Levine’s Children’s Hospital in Charlotte so that kids being treated there can help create their own radio show.

For photos from the event, head here. You’ll even get a glimpse of Danielle’s birthday cake; she turned 17 earlier this week.

And, if you haven’t heard “Heart of Dixie,” here it is.
