Danielle Bradbery, the Season 4 champ, kicks off what she calls “the next era” of her music with a single called “A Special Place.” In this case, the special place is a “zero-star hotel” that rhymes with hotel. You know, the type of place you might send an ex-lover. The song was written by Maren Morris with Sasha Sloan, Shane McAnally, and Jimmy Robbins; the latter applauds Danielle for her “incredible” vocal. Says Danielle: “You know the type of song that ignites something in you when it comes on? ‘A Special Place’ is that one for me. It has the strong-willed attitude I’ve been looking for and makes you want to sing at the top of your lungs. We’ve all felt like ‘I don’t hate you but I sure don’t wish you well’ about that certain someone.” Check out the lyric video below.

Mikele Buck from Season 15 has released “Thicketty Mountain.” It’s a song written by Tyler Hatley, whom he calls a “good friend and one of my favorite songwriters in the world.” It’s also the second release this summer from the Mikele Buck Band. It follows June’s “Low on Gas,” which is up to more than 60,000 streams on Spotify. Two other of Mikele’s songs have more than 1 million.

Madeline Consoer from Season 19 says the calendar might have flipped to September but insists summer isn’t over as she releases a single called “Summer Forever.” “If I pulled inspiration from ‘Love Story’ by Taylor Swift and ‘It Only Hurts When I Breathe’ by Shania Twain, it’d probably sound like this,” she said in unveiling the song. “I have never been more patient with a song I’ve written. I wanted to release this two years ago, but the timing never felt right, until now. I’m so proud of this one.”
