Fantasia is coming to the area in November with shows in Philadelphia and Baltimore. Update: Fantasia made the tour official with an announcement Tuesday morning. It begins Nov. 4 in Richmond, Va. In addition to the local dates mentioned below, the tour will also make a story at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C., on Dec. 28. No word yet on when tickets for that show will go on sale. For the complete concert schedule, head here.

Original blog: American Idol season three winner Fantasia is about to head out on tour in support of her new album, “Back to Me,” and two of the first tour dates are in this area.

Fantasia will play an 8 p.m. show at the Tower Theatre in Upper Darby, Pa. (think the Philly area) on Saturday, Nov. 6. The pre-sale begins at LiveNation.com on Wednesday; tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday and range from $62.45 to $89.75. Head here for more information.

The next night, Fantasia and Eric Bennett will perform at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore in a 7:30 p.m. show. The pre-sale starts Thursday, tickets go on sale to the public Friday. They range from $61.15 to $81.75. Head to Ticketmaster for the details.

I haven’t seen an official announcement of the tour on Fantasia’s website, but R&B singer Kandi Burruss sent out a tweet over the weekend indicating she’d be going out on tour with the former Idol champ. Kandi also has an album coming out soon — “Kandi Koated” — and has starred on the Bravo reality series “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”

Speaking of reality series, did you hear that Fantasia pole danced for the season two debut of “Fantasia for Real,” her VH1 reality show? New episodes air Sunday at 10 p.m.

Anyway, if you want to see Fantasia pole dance, head here for the video.
