The judges complimented Austin Wolfe on her “awesome” name no sooner than she walked into the American Idol audition room in Salt Lake City.
Turns out Austin has a pretty awesome voice to go along with her awesome name.

Jennifer Lopez called her “the whole package.” Keith Urban said she had “great pitch” and predicted she’ll be a “force to be reckoned with” as Season 13 continues.
And, just like that, Austin was Hollywood bound with three yes votes.
Austin told FOX13 in Salt Lake that she’s been taking vocal lessons since the age of 5 and auditioned for Idol at the suggestion of her boss at a pool where she worked last summer.
“I’ve always wanted to be a singer,” Austin says in her Road to Hollywood video. “And my mom always had American Idol on in the background and would say, ‘That’s going to be you one day.'”
On ReverbNation, Austin describes herself as “a singer-songwriter who creates soulful pop ballads that resonate with young adults.”
She hails from Park City, Utah, and has apparently been recording originals for quite a while. She has two songs on iTunes from 2010 — “Goodbye” and “I Won’t.”
In her video, she elaborates on that, describing her style as bluesy-pop.
“I write a lot of my own music, and I do a lot of covers,” she says. “I think having written my own music helps me put my own spin on different songs so I can turn them into my own. I think that’s definitely an advantage.”
As for her ultimate musical goal? This is what she told FOX13: “I want to be that person that girls of all ages and moms kind of look up to and think they enjoy my music and feel something from it.”
