You might say Holly Henry was having a pretty excellent 24 hours.
The 19-year-old from Minneapolis describes herself on Facebook as “acoustic/folk/alternative/blonde girl with a weird voice who plays instruments moderately well.”
Well, during her blind audition on The Voice, no one was concerned about how well she plays instruments.
As for the “weird voice,” the show’s judges were pretty taken with it.
To the point that all four turned their chairs during her performance of Coldplay’s “The Scientist.”
Perhaps the best news of all: Viewers loved it, too.
As of 8 p.m. Wednesday, Holly Henry — who told The Voice she doesn’t typically perform for others, keeping her music mostly to herself — was sitting at number 31 on iTunes.
None of the other artists from Tuesday’s episode had cracked the Top 200 among iTunes’ most downloaded singles.
And only three other week-one Voice contestants were on the chart — Matthew Schuler with “Cough Syrup” at 60, James Wolpert with “Love Interrupted” at 112 and Caroline Pennell with “Anything Could Happen” at number 199.
Editor’s Note: By 9 a.m. Thursday, Holly sitting at 25 on iTunes while all those other songs had fallen on the chart.
“Never in a million years would I thought I would have been there at all,” Holly said Wednesday afternoon of her debut on the iTunes chart. “Like last night, I got a text message saying I was at 116. And that just freaked me out completely. I was so excited. But now I think I’m at 34. I can’t even explain my happiness. People have been so generous and so supportive. And I’m just so grateful for it.”
Of course, it was the second big Voice surprise for Holly, who said she auditioned for the show “on a whim,” for the experience and at the urging of her parents.
Honestly, she says she didn’t expect any of the judges to turn around for her.
“So the fact that I got four chairs was really confusing,” she said, then added quickly. “In a good way. In a good way. I was really surprised and it meant so much that they all heard something they’d like to work with.”
Faced with four superstar coaches to choose from, Holly decided to join Team Blake Shelton.
Remember what happened the last time Blake teamed up with a musical novice who struck a chord with the public?
Well, Danielle Bradbery isn’t only the Season 4 champ, she’s a little more than a month away from releasing a debut album.

Everything your ears could hope for! Holly Henry
Thanks for sharing
I found myself spellbound and in tears during Holly’s performance. She is magnificently quiet, joyfully vulnerable. Her voice is so pure, so beautiful. More, please.
If she won’t win, I don’t know what kind of voice “The Voice” is looking for..
