I know, it seemed like just yesterday when Idol voters shocked the nation — the Idol viewing nation, at least — by chosing Kris Allen over Adam Lambert.
In truth, it was nearly a month ago, and Idol has moved on, already preparing for season nine.
Auditions for Idol began last week in Boston (Gillette Stadium, to be precise) and continue this week with a stop in Atlanta (Tuesday through Thursday). Go here for a schedule of other upcoming auditions. Idol has announced dates for the auditions in Chicago (June 20-22) and Dallas (June 24-26).
Meanwhile, here are photos from the Boston audtions, courtesy of The Associated Press.
Clearly, Vanessa Currier took the tips from season eight semifinalist Felicia Barton to heart — do anything to get the attention of the cameras, any cameras.
Clearly, Angela Crisci took the outcome too hard. Hey, Angela, at the tender age of 17, you’ve got plenty more years of Idol eligibility.
