But don’t bother searching for it under Angie Miller on iTunes. The 22-year-old has changed her stage name to Zealyn.
The music might catch you by surprise too. It’s not the pop-rock folks who recall Angie from the show might expect.
It’s more along the lines of electro-pop, featured on a seven-track project called “Limbic System.”
You can listen to all the songs on Zealyn’s new website.
Angie told her hometown newspaper, The Beverly Citizen, that she changed her stage name to represent the start of a new chapter in her career and that the new sound is a part of her evolution as a singer and songwriter.
“I started ‘American Idol, and didn’t know my sound at all,” she says in an interview you can read here. “I was 18, I had just graduated high school. All I knew was that I loved singing. I loved it and I loved performing and I knew I wanted to do that, but I didn’t know how.”
Now based in L.A., Zealyn has announced a homecoming show for Aug. 3 in Boston. In addition to her website, you can follow her through Facebook and Twitter.
Here are two other tracks from the new album.
