Alex Preston returned home to New Hampshire on Saturday after making the Top 3 on American Idol.
His hometown visit including a ceremony at the Mont Vernon Town Hall, a celebration at Souhegan High School, a parade in Durham and a free concert at the University of New Hampshire, where he’s a member of the Class of 2015.
According to NewHampshire.com, hundreds turned out for the event in Mont Vernon, with some fans waiting hours for a chance to meet Alex.
The site said Alex has already been informed of the three songs he’ll be asked to sing next week, but it didn’t divulge them.
“I never thought I would make it this far,” he told the site. “Now that it is the top three … whatever happens after this is just all good.”
