Idols are only nominated in two categories at tonight’s American Music Awards.
Carrie Underwood is up for top female country performer of the year; Daughtry is up for rock band of the year.
But there will be other reasons for Idol fans to watch the show tonight. Kelly Clarkson and Adam Lambert are scheduled to perform along with Carrie and Daughtry, and Adam has promised an edgy performance.
I’ll be posting photos of the Idols here as the night progresses, so keep checking back.
Wow, and they’re bringing on the Idols early in the show. We’ve already heard Daughtry perform one of the better tunes off “Leave This Town,” that being “Life After You” and Kelly Clarkson sing her latest hit, “Already Gone.”
Carrie Underwood just turned in a very nice performance of “Cowboy Casanova,” and everyone will forget it in a heartbeat because she has the misfortune of preceding the oddity known as Lady Gaga. And then Carrie misses out on the Favorite Country Female Artist Award, won by Taylor Swift.
And Adam Lambert gets to end the show with a performance of “For Your Entertainment” that was, indeed, a little over the top. What did you think of it? Let me know. Comment below.
