*** Favorite Tweet from last 24 hours ***

LabelleMusik (Leah Labelle from Idol Season 3): “I’ve barely been in Miami for 2 hours & already I’ve seen a bird steal Splenda from my table & drop sugar from the sky & a man in a 2 piece string bikini thrusting the air with his disco hand in the air & a runway walk. 9:30am. welcome.”  Oh, and she provides photographic evidence of the latter.

*** James Durbin marries ***

People is reporting that James Durbin and longtime girlfriend Heidi Lowe got married on New Year’s Eve with Season 10 Idol colleagues Stephano Langone, Haley Reinhart and Casey Abrams in attendance.

The couple have a son, Hunter, and the show told of their struggles to make ends meet pre-Idol.

If I recall the story correctly, Heidi’s a bit older, having baby-sat James at one point. They met again years later during karaoke night at a bar.

*** Lauren Alaina helps welcome 2012 ***

Season 10 runner-up Lauren Alaina was among the guest performers on Fox’s New Year’s Eve show.

She took the stage dressed in black and belted out “Georgia Peaches,” the most recent single off her Wildflower album.

The official video for the song will be released Friday.

** Kelly Clarkson iTunes Session ***

The Kelly Clarkson iTunes Session is now available for a limited time price of $7.99.

The album features new versions of four songs off her “Stronger” album, including the first two singles, plus “My Like Would Suck Without You,” “Since You Been Gone.”

Along with the eight tracks, there’s also a new interview.

*** The Voice: Dia Frampton heading out on tour ***

Head here for a wonderful story on Dia Frampton from the St. George Daily Spectrum. Dia, runner-up from The Voice,  talks about knowing how fame can be fleeting.

She and her sister previously performed as Meg and Dia, released an independent album, played the Warped Tour as an official MySpace band, were signed by Warner Brothers and appeared on the verge of making it big.

The next thing she knew, they’d been dropped by the label and she was working in a New York bake shop struggling to pay her bills.

Dia released a 12-track album, “Red,” on Dec. 6 and has a host of tour dates set for 2012, including Feb. 4 at the Recher Theater in nearby Towson, Md., and and Feb. 24 at the Sovereign Center in Reading, where she’ll open for Blake Shelton. You can head to her Facebook to see all the dates.

*** The X Factor: Melanie Amaro Pizza? ***

Sure enough, a pizza shop owner in Sunrise, Fla., has named a pizza after the winner of The X Factor. After all, it’s Melanie’s hometown.

Melanie stopped by on New Year’s Eve for a sample.  For those wondering, the Melanie Amaro Pizza has three toppings —  pepperoni, bacon and mushroom.

“It’s crazy,” said Amaro. “I never thought I’d have a pizza named after me. It’s an honor. I love pizza.”

You can head here to read the full story in the Orlando Sentinel.
