Injoy Fountain’s time on The Voice ended during the battle round.

She was paired against Alex Guthrie for a Team Kelly Clarkson battle round match.

They performed “Home” by Marc Broussard. And Injoy received praise for her vocal and her on-stage charisma.

But Kelly declared Alex the winner. And Injoy was eliminated when she wasn’t saved or stolen.

Here’s what the 29-year-old from Wichita, Kansas, had to say about her Voice experience.

Voice Views: What do you consider your biggest takeaway / lesson learned from The Voice experience?

Injoy: I finally see who I am as an artist and I’ve met so many incredible people. I needed the validation and credit.

Voice Views: The battles were filmed over the summer. What have you been doing musically since then and where are you hoping The Voice experience leads?

Injoy: I’m currently in Hocus Pocus a musical parody and I’ll be doing live shows and releasing my own music soon!!

Voice Views: Do you plan to release new music anytime soon? If so, can you tell me about that — what you’re planning, what fans can expert in terms of sound and the timetable for doing?

Injoy: Hopefully a Christmas record and a full album in 2020. Big band soul with an edge.

Voice Views: Is there anything else you’d like to add about The Voice experience?

Injoy: This has truly changed my life and I’m so grateful for everyone on production and everyone behind the scenes and my new voice fam!
