If you’re trying to break off a relationship with a guy, you need to make a clean break.
If you let him linger as part of your life, you’re not really over him.
“Over Him” is the name of the catchy new single the Season 14 Voice contestant released Friday.
It’s also the first single from an upcoming album. And the first to showcase a more polished county-pop-rock sound from JessLee.
“My new music will rebrand me in a way and a direction I have been looking to find since I started releasing music,” JessLee told Undiscovered Nashville. “My team likes to call me and my style a ‘modern-day Shania Twain.'”
That team includes Brad Hill, who produced “Over Him” and has worked with Maren Morris, Brothers Osborne and Brett Young.
JessLee was 26 when she earned a spot on Team Blake Shelton on The Voice. She has released an EP and a couple of singles before the show and has released a seven-song project (2018’s “Strong”) since.
You can keep up with JessLee through Instagram. She has a number of shows already scheduled this summer. Check out those dates on her website.
