During his press conference after winning Season 9 of The Voice, Jordan Smith promised fans new music “as soon as possible.”
Looks like he’s prepared to deliver on that promise.
Jordan announced Tuesday that his debut album, “Something Beautiful,” will be released March 18.
Pre-orders are already underway. You can order the CD for $9.98, a digital download and a signed poster of Jordan for $19.98 or a physical CD and a signed poster for $22.98.
But back to Jordan’s promise: This will mark the quickest turn-around ever for an album by a Voice victor.
Just three months will have passed from Jordan’s triumph on The Voice when “Something Beautiful” is released.
The previous quickest was Javier Colon, who released his major label debut just shy of five months after winning the first season of The Voice.
Jordan has been working on the new music with David Foster, executive producer of the album. During the same press conference, Jordan said he’s been writing songs for a potential album and that his goal is to release music that serves as an inspiration to fans.
No word yet on whether a lead single will be released ahead of the album.
