Lady Gaga says Fox ‘poorly’ edited her Idol performance

And she wasn’t very timid about expressing her feelings.

To her nearly 4 million twitter followers, she sent this message earlier today: “FOX POORLY + AMATEURLY edited+cut my performance/musical arrangement on idol.”

Earlier, she complained that the performance was chopped in four places.

And she referred followers to PerezHilton.com for the full-length version.

That version is 6 1/2 minutes long compared to the 5-minute version shown on Idol, includes a longer lead-in of “Bad Romance” and makes sense of Gaga’s return to the piano midway through the performance.

Idol cut that part so short, it seemed nonsensical.

On what had to be one of the most boring, filler-filled episodes of Idol ever, your performance was about the only saving grace.

I would have gladly traded one of those Idol group numbers, or that oh-so-long review of Lee DeWyze’s performance, or some of the other silliness on Wednesday’s show for a chance to see your full-length performance.

But at least you didn’t sound like you were singing into a garbage can, like the Black Eyed Peas two weeks ago.

And at least you didn’t come off looking like you were mute, like Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts did last week during that ill-fated duet with Shakira.

So look on the bright side.

The performance might have been cut. But, for once, the Idol sound system worked on a results show.

Of course, it probably helped that your performance was taped, not live.
